about

The Wolves Club of Youngstown is a social organization of business and professional men founded in 1953. Our main purpose is to provide undergraduate scholarships and financial assistance for higher education at Youngstown State University for students of Mahoning County.

The Wolves Club of Youngstown maintains the Wolves Scholarship and Charitable Trust.

We are a club that takes pride in our Italian Heritage. We meet twice monthly for dinner and meetings, to discuss with the vociferous passion of our ancestors, matters for the club and always circling back to food and fellowship.  With the fervor of those that came before us, our aim is always striving to optimize how we can best build the trust to give as much back to those that need it most in the community.

Over the course of each year, we hold a Reverse Raffle Fundraiser every April, a Golf Outing every August, and show appreciation to our patrons each year with a Polenta Dinner.

The highlight of every year is our Scholarship Dinner.  This event is the culmination of the hard work the club does all year long. In May 2025, our organization was able to award more than $103,000 in scholarship money to nine local graduates slated to attend Youngstown State this Fall.

Over the past 71 years, we have awarded more than $1.4 million in scholarships, all to Mahoning County students attending YSU.
